Getting started Step 2 of 30
Choose a plan
Start free with no card, or pick a paid plan and add billing details. What the limits mean, and what happens when you change plan later.
Updated
Straight after you confirm your email address, the app shows Choose where to start: every plan you can sign up to, with its domain and message limits and its monthly price.
Starting free
Choose Start free and you go straight to the dashboard. There is no card and no trial period: Free is a plan in its own right, with real limits, and you can stay on it for as long as it covers what you need.
The dashboard then shows a banner asking where you’re based. Set your country asks for two things: your company name (optional) and the country your business is based in. The country sets the currency and tax on any future invoice. You can choose Skip for now and set it later in Settings.
Choosing a paid plan
Choose Choose next to a paid plan, and the next page asks for your invoice details — company name, billing email, address and country (and ABN, for an Australian business) — and your card.
- The card is entered into Stripe’s own payment form. The card number goes to Stripe and never reaches DMARCLoop’s servers.
- The country you enter fixes the subscription’s currency for its life. Prices on the plan page are shown in US dollars and labelled as such; the currency you are actually billed in follows your billing country.
- The plan starts when the payment succeeds. Until Stripe confirms it, the billing page says it is waiting for confirmation and your account stays on Free. A declined card can simply be tried again; you won’t be charged twice.
What the limits mean in practice
Domains are counted when you add one. If you are at your limit, the Add domain form says which plan you are on, how many domains it covers, and links to the plans. Removing a domain gives the slot back (its report history is kept).
Messages are compliant messages: mail that passed DMARC, counted across all your domains in a month. Mail that failed DMARC — including spoofed mail someone else sent in your name — is not counted and never raises your bill. Going over never stops anything: reports keep being processed, because they are your compliance evidence. Account → Usage (for admins and owners) shows where you are, with a warning at 80% and again at 100%; see Usage.
History is how far back your report data is kept.
Changing plan later
You can move between plans at any time from Account → Billing.
If you cancel a paid plan, the account drops to Free, not to nothing. Every domain you already monitor stays monitored — the domain limit applies when you add a domain, never retrospectively. Report history follows the Free plan’s history period: anything older than that is kept for 90 days after the change, then deleted, and the cancel form says so before you confirm. See Billing.
